RA Website Requirements: What Must Be on Your SiteSEBI research analyst website requirements start with regulation 19A: every RA must keep a functional website. SEBI circulars then require specific items on it, including your registered name, registration number, address, a standard disclaimer, the Investor Charter, monthly complaint data and the status of your annual compliance audit. ![]() Last updated: 21 October 2026 Research analyst website requirements come from regulation 19A of the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, which says every research analyst or research entity must maintain a functional website with the details SEBI specifies. SEBI has not published one single list; instead, the Master Circular for Research Analysts dated February 6, 2026 and later circulars require specific items on the site: your registered name, logo, registration number and address, a standard disclaimer, the Investor Charter, monthly complaint data and your compliance audit status. A white-label platform for research analysts gives you a branded site where you can publish all of this. This guide lists each item, where the rule comes from, what you must not publish, and a checklist. It is not legal advice. SEBI may specify more details under regulation 19A at any time, so check the current master circular and RAASB notices on sebi.gov.in and bseindia.com. Do SEBI research analysts need a website?Yes. Regulation 19A was added by the December 2024 amendment, in force from December 16, 2024, and paragraph 1.15 of the master circular repeats it. "Functional" matters: a parked domain or a broken page does not meet the rule, because clients, SEBI and RAASB rely on the website to find your details, your grievance contacts and your disclosures. Other rules also assume you have a website. Short-form ads such as SMS or social posts may link to your website instead of carrying every detail, but only if the site contains those details. The MITC tells clients with a grievance to contact you first "using the details on its website". So the website is part of your compliance, not just your marketing. What must be on a research analyst's website?Registration details and the standard disclaimerParagraph 11.2 of the master circular, on use of brand and trade names, requires the name of the RA as registered with SEBI, its logo, its registration number and its complete address with telephone numbers to be "prominently displayed" on its portal or website. In practice, put them in the site footer so they appear on every page, and add them to your contact page. Which disclaimer wording? The website rule in para 11.2(iii) uses the wording in the table above. The advertisement rule in para 11.1(b)(viii) uses a longer version that also mentions enlistment with BSE. If pages on your site promote your services, they may count as advertisements, so many RAs show the longer wording. Use the right termRegulation 13 requires you to use "research analyst" (or "part-time research analyst") in correspondence with clients. Using the same term on your site keeps it consistent. No SEBI logoPara 11.2(iv) says an RA must not use the SEBI logo, and the advertisement code bans it in ads. Investor Charter and complaint dataRegulation 24(9) makes compliance with the Investor Charter a regulatory duty, and paragraph 7 of the master circular asks RAs to bring it to clients' notice, including by putting it on their websites and mobile apps (if any), in the office, at onboarding and by email. Publish the full text from Annexure D rather than your own summary, and link to it from the footer. Paragraph 7.3 requires RAs to publish data on complaints received and resolved on the website and app by the 7th of the following month, in the Annexure E format. That format has three tables: Monthly complaint tableComplaints received from investors directly, via SCORES and from other sources, with pending at the start, received, resolved, pending at month end, pending over three months and average resolution time. Monthly trendCarried forward, received, resolved and pending for each month from April to March of the financial year. Annual trendThe same figures year by year, so a visitor can see your record over time. Publish the table even when there were no complaints; a table of zeros shows the page is kept up to date. Complaints arising from someone impersonating you may be adjusted out, after following the due process SEBI and RAASB specify. See SCORES and ODR complaints for handling. Compliance audit status and adverse findingsThe annual compliance audit must be completed within six months of the end of the financial year and submitted to RAASB within one month of the audit report, and not later than October 31. The master circular then requires you to publish the status of the compliance audit report on your website, and to publish any adverse findings together with the action taken. You must also provide the audit report to your clients. A short "Compliance audit" section with the financial year, the date the audit was completed, the date it was submitted, and either "no adverse findings" or the findings and action taken, is a simple way to do this. Our annual compliance audit guide explains the audit itself. Grievance and contact detailsUnder the MITC, a client with a grievance first contacts the RA "using the details on its website" or the contact details the RA gives in its grievance redressal or escalation matrix, then may go to SCORES and then to SMARTODR. Regulation 26B requires grievances to be resolved within 21 calendar days. The master circular also asks RAs to display in their office a grievance notice naming the compliance officer and the CEO, partner or proprietor with email and phone, plus SCORES and the SEBI helpline. The rule is written for the office, but putting the same notice on a "Grievance redressal" page is a sensible way to make the website details clients are told to use easy to find. What must you not publish on your website?
If a page promotes your services, treat it as an advertisement. The advertisement code applies to all communications that may influence investment decisions, including those over the internet, and requires prior approval from the supervisory body where specified. See the SEBI advertisement code for research analysts and PaRRVA explained. What else is worth adding?Terms and conditions and MITCThe rules require you to disclose your terms and the MITC to each client and take consent before any service or fee. Publishing them on the site is not stated as a rule, but helps prospects read them before they sign. See our MITC guide. Payment detailsClients must pay through banking channels and never in cash. If you use the optional CeFCoM mechanism or a SEBI-validated UPI ID, show it so clients can check they are paying a registered RA. AccessibilitySEBI's circulars on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act require regulated entities to make digital platforms accessible. The master circular lists them and their extended timelines; check what currently applies to your site. AI disclosureIf you use AI tools in research, you must disclose the extent of use to clients with your terms. A short note on the site keeps the message consistent. RA website checklist
